From June 10 to June 13, 2019, the World Pulse Congress was taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Non-Governmental Organization “Community of Pulse Manufacturers and Consumers of Ukraine” represented by the President Skliarenko Antonina took part in it as a member of the board of the Global Pulse Confederation (GPC) and enjoyed the strategic novelties in the area of culture, innovative business-ideas and unprecedented network possibilities.
Also, on the sidelines of the World Pulse Congress MOU (the Memorandum on Cooperation) was signed with China Chamber of Commerce of Import & Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce & Animal By-Products (CFNA) with the purpose of amplification of cooperation in the area of pulse trade and investments.
The question number one was the access of our pea to the market of China. This is the first important step! The Chinese party is ready for resolute and constructive actions on opening of the market till the end of this year.
On June 4-7, 2019, XXXI International Agro-Industrial Exhibition “AGRO-2019” was taking place in the National Complex “Expocenter of Ukraine”, Kyiv. This is the most large-scale agricultural exhibition in Ukraine and Eastern Europe which 1,300 participants from 15 countries of the world take part in.
The representatives of the Non-Governmental Organization “Community of Pulse Manufacturers and Consumers of Ukraine” also visited the exhibition, met the members and partners of the Non-Governmental Organization “Community of Pulse Manufacturers and Consumers of Ukraine”, held a series of business meetings with the purpose of popularization of pulse crops among the representatives of agro business of Ukraine.
Traditionally at the end of May, Odessa turns from a resort city of Ukraine into a business forum place at the seaside of the Black Sea where the representatives of grain and maritime industries from around the world descend on. And, as the matter of fact, the year of 2019 has not become an exception, and on May 30-31 XVIII International Conference “Grain & Maritime Days in Odessa”, the organizers of which were the Information Agency “APK-Inform” and the International Legal Service “Interlegal”, united more than 300 delegates from 26 countries of the world, among which there was the Non-Governmental Organization “Community of Pulse Manufacturers and Consumers of Ukraine” represented by the President Skliarenko Antonina.
The first conference day was devoted to global issues - macroeconomics, perspectives of development of the world grain market in a new season and modern tendencies and challenges of maritime industry.
The second conference of day started with Local shipping perspective section in the course of which the discussion “Topical peculiarities of the Black Sea shipping” was held.
On May 30, 2019, at the invitation of the Center of Informational Support of Business, Sumy, the Non-Governmental Organization “Community of Pulse Manufacturers and Consumers of Ukraine” took part in the Forum “Niche crops: how to get the maximum profit from a hectare?”, which was held in Sumy at the premises of the Congress-center of the Sumy State Agrarian University.
The Director Mykola Varenyk gave a speech on the topic “Pulse crops in Ukraine: manufacture, consumption and export”. More than 100 representatives of farmers, small and moderate-sized agro firms of Sumy region took part in the forum.
On the section “Growth of field niche crops”, which took place within the framework of the forum, the notification of Mykola Varenyk about the beginning of the project-platform “Agro innovation house of Ukraine” in the Pulse Association of Ukraine was perceived with great interest. The primary goal of the project-platform is the introduction of innovation offers on using domestic
bio-products in plant-growing among agro manufacturers, which facilitates growth of crop productivity of agricultural products, reduction of pesticide application and, as a result, growth of the harvest safe for people’s health and increase of productivity from one hectare.
On May 22, 2019, II Agrarian Conference “Niche crops. Problems and Perspectives”, the organizer of which was the Group of Companies “ProAgro”, took place in Kyiv with the support of the Non-Governmental Organization “Community of Pulse Manufacturers and Consumers of Ukraine”.
Also, the President of the Community of Pulse Manufacturers and Consumers of Ukraine featured as a moderator on the speaker panel. Some participants of our community featured as speakers on this Conference: Oleksii Movchan “Ramburs Group”, Oleksandr Nazarishyn “Aglolider Ukraine”, Leonid Fadieiev “Fadieiev Agro Plant”.
On May 16, 2019, the Non-Governmental Organization “Community of Pulse Manufacturers and Consumers of Ukraine” headed by the President Antonina Skliarenko took part in the roundtable discussion “Newest Technologies of Growth of Agricultural Crops” which was held within the walls of the Bila Tserkva State Agrarian University. The moderator of the discussion was Valerii Semenovych Khakhula, the Dean of the Agro-biological Faculty, Master of Agriculture. The scientists of the University, the chiefs of agricultural enterprises of the Kyiv region, the members of the Pulse Association of Ukraine, a correspondent of Zerno magazine took part in the work.
The main speech “AgroBioComplex Technology. Agriculture Biologization” made by Mykola Varenyk, the Director of the Pulse Association of Ukraine aroused much interest among the participants.
On April 10-11, 2019, XVI International Conference “BlackSeeGrain-2019” took place in the Intercontinental Hotel in Kyiv. It is one of the largest annual international conferences intended to discussing the topical issues and perspectives of the world and Black Sea market of agricultural products, on which the
Non-Governmental Organization “Community of Pulse Manufacturers and Consumers of Ukraine” represented by the President Skliarenko Antonina was present as a participant of the Conference.
In course of the Conference such issues were considered as: Era of the 2020s: in waiting for the world boom of a grain offer?; global transformation of goods market; Black Sea region: grain production and export, logistic challenges; Ukraine: is new grain maximum already close?; Geopolitics, macroeconomics and trade wars; ambitions of the South America and conservatism of Europe; Asia and Africa. Growth of demand and development of markets; Global financial crisis and raw materials markets.
On March 26, 2019, the President of the Public Association “Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine”, Antonina Skliarenko, visited Mersin, Turkey at the invitation of the President of Global Pulse Confederation, Mr. Hussein Arslan. They visited the Arbel company largest plant of processing of red lentil, green lentil, chickpea in Turkey, watched the technology for production of paste, made of chickpea and lentil. They also visited one of the largest Akyurek company plants of equipment production for pulses, crops, tobacco, sunflower and other cultures.
From March 20 to March 23, 2019, the Public Association “Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine” represented by President Antonina Volodymyrivna Skliarenko visited the 8th international exhibition of production technologies of flour, semolina, rice, corn, bulgur, compound feed, pasta, biscuits, groat IDMA in Istanbul, Turkey.
At the exhibition, the President of the Public Association “Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine” took part in the international forum and spoke about the pulse market in Ukraine.
It was separately discussed the prospects in pulse processing, we also won 2 awards.
On March 06, 2019, the SPPBU Management Board chaired by the President Antonina Skliarenko held the yearly Members Meeting, at which they spoke about the work executed in 2018 and plans for 2019.

The Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine is planning to hold the IV early International Pulse Conference, 3 Field Days, the commemoration of World Pulse Day and popularization of pulse consumption, negotiations concerning holding World Pulse Congress in 2021 in Ukraine, cooperation with governmental bodies, as well as the state support of pulse industry, strengthening of communication platform among Community members.

On August 16, 2018, the Ukrainian-Emirates Business Forum within a framework of the third session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Emirates Commission on the issue of trade and economic cooperation was held in the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Public Association “Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine” took part in the forum, as it cooperated with the UAE in the sphere of pulse crops, and it plans to visit the exhibition GulFood 2019 which will take place in February in Dubai, the UAE.
On June 06-09, 2018, the 30th International Agro-Industrial Exhibition “AGRO 2018” was held in the National Complex “Expocentre of Ukraine”, Kyiv. This is the most grand-scale agricultural exhibition in Ukraine and in the Eastern Europe where 1,300 participants from 15 countries of the world take place.
It has already become a tradition to conduct the Field Day in July at the farm of Don A.F. in the village of Teplyk, Cherkasy region.
We continue the season of summer events in the sphere of pulses, so today we will tell you about the Field Day, which was held on June 26 in the village of Ksaverivka-2, Vasylkiv district, Kyiv region on the ground of the Exhibition and Innovation Centre of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
On May 31, the International Field Day took place based at the Institute of Irrigation Agriculture of the National Academy of Agricultural Science (Kherson, Naddniprianske urban type settlement)
On May 24-25, one of the largest events in Ukraine in the field of grain and maritime business, XVII International Conference Grain Forum & Maritime Days, took place in Odesa.

On March 16, 2018 the international conference KazGrain 2018, organized by the information agency “APK – Inform” and Agro Industriia KZ, took place in Astana (Kazakhstan).
On March 02, 2018, the Board of Public Association “Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine” (SPPBU) headed by our President Antonina Skliarenko held the annual Members’ Meeting, in which the work accomplished in 2017 and plans for 2018 were described.

II International Conference “Pulse. Towards the Challenges of Global Demand” – November 23, 2017
The II International Conference “Pulse. Towards the Challenges of Global Demand”, held in the business hall of the Olympic National Sports Complex by the Public Association “Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine” with support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine on November 23, 2017, was a logical and long-awaited continuation of the I Pulse Conference, which took place in November 2016.
Last week, the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of the NAS of Ukraine held Field Day, where more than 300 people took part.
The goal was to be acquainted with the achievements of agrarian science in the field of selection of winter wheat, barley, corn, soya, alfalfa, peas, oil flax, winter rapeseed, safflower, sunflower and innovative technologies for their cultivation in the Institute's demonstration fields.
22.05.2017 in the Ministry of Agrarian Policy held the first meeting of the working group on improving legislation and regulations in the field of organic production and development of niche crops. The head of the working group from the Ministry of Agrarian and Industrial Complex is Deputy Minister for Euro Integration Trofimtseva O.V.
16.05.17 The group of companies International Finance Club "Banker AGRO" in partnership with AGROGENERATION Holding and SigmaBleyzer Company invited "Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine" to participate in the Agro-Conference "Land Relations and Agribusiness in Ukraine: Prospects, Problems, Solutions", which took place In Kiev in the restaurant "Panorama Hall".
15.03.2017 on the initiative of the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the “Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine”, as well, as with the participation of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, the Kherson Regional State Administration, a scientific and practical seminar on "Features Cultivation of grain, pulse and industrial crops in the south of Ukraine in the conditions of 2017".
On February 25, 2017, the Third International Conference "Middle East Grain Congress," held in the UAE, Dubai, an effective platform for communication and discussion of the current trends in the world market of cereals and pulses and their development in North Africa and the Middle East. More than 200 delegates from the Middle East, North Africa and the Black Sea region.
January 26-28, 2017 in Kiev was the First International Congress "Organic of Ukraine 2017 Development of the organic market in Ukraine - from production to sales."
The program of the Congress included such events as an international forum, conferences devoted to the development of organic production in Ukraine, and an exhibition of organic products, as well as lectures for consumers. Participants had the opportunity to see the full range of organic products and be acquainted with the main players of the organic market of Ukraine.
November 17, 2016 PA "Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine" organized and held an International Conference "Pulses. Focusing on Maximum Efficiency."
This conference was held with the support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Grain and Feeds Association (GAFTA), was called and became an important and large-scale event in the development of the pulse sector of the agrarian sector of Ukraine.
