In early August, in the Cherkasy region in Smela with the assistance of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and the Selection and Genetics Institute – The National Center for Seed Research and Variety Studies held a scientific and practical conference on the selection of Pulse crops in Ukraine.

On April 29, an international conference "Prospective markets for economic cooperation for the development of the national economy of Ukraine" was held in Kiev, on which were discussed the topics of cooperation in the development of Southern Africa (SADC) as a potential trade and investment partner of Ukraine, advantages of investments in Algeria, trade between Ukraine and Egypt.
