The Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine would like to thank all participants of the IV International Conference “The Future of Pulses”, sponsored by Global Pulse Conference, The Grain and Feed Trade Association, the Mission of EBRD in Ukraine and took place on November 29, 2019 in Kyiv in Premier Palace Hotel.

This time the Conference gathered 250+ participants from 27 countries. There were producers, trade companies, scientists, representatives of international organizations and state bodies of Ukraine.

It was highly professional work of the speakers that enabled a high level of the conference, we are pleased to admit. Each of them was extraordinary and provided the information about the pulses the listeners took eagerly. Special thanks go to the session moderators of the conference who were ably managing the speeches and made the speech sessions very informative: Hussein Arslan, Olha Trofimtseva, Jean-Jacque Hervait, Oksana Prosolenko.

The board of the conference expresses warm thanks to the sponsors. They are Akyurek Technology Company (Turkey), which became the General Sponsor of the Conference for the second time. Warm thanks also to Schlüter & Maack GmbH (Germany), agro-industrial concern Arbel (Turkey), AGROLIDER EUROPE, the agro industrial group Arnika (Ukraine), the consulting company UKRAGROCONSULT (Ukraine), as well as to Marina Commodities (Canada), to SINTEZ GROUP AND CO (Ukraine), to GM AGRO DMCC (United Arab Emirates), to GP Global Group (Switzerland) and to ETG Commodities (Canada), which supported financially the opportunity to hold this important event.

Mostly, the conference was focused at the discussions on producing and consuming the pulses in the world, on food processing and refined foods, the tendencies that are influenced by the changes in people’s eating and demand for plant protein as meat alternative.

The conference “The Future of Pulses” has become a multi dimension platform for communication of the agricultural business sector community, scientists, analytics, the officials of State bodies and other institutes. New millennium requires new – healthy and useful – foods for people’s nutrition. The pulse market is the market of new opportunities.

Ukraine is proved to emerge as a major powerhouse in the world pulse trade and the one of the leaders of pulse export, primarily exporting pea. The future growth of pulse production and its export in Ukraine is due to growing consumers’ markets in Asia, Middle East, Africa and the EU.

See you all at the pulse conference in Kyiv in 2020!
