On July 21-22, 2016, an international visiting scientific-practical conference "Pulse Selection and Genetics: Modern Aspects and Prospects" was held at the Ustimovskaya Research Station of Plant Production in Poltava. The purpose of this conference was to study the prospects for pulse selection, the exchange of scientific and practical experience. This topic is very important for the development of our agro-industrial complex, so Ukraine has very large areas of agricultural land for crops, but on the other hand, there are a lot of areas characterized by low moisture availability at high ambient temperatures, and pulses, especially chickpeas and lentils are highly durable
The Public Association "The Community of Pulse Producers and Customers of Ukraine" undertook the practical implementation of the introduction of Pulse crops into the agro-industrial program of the state, whose president, Sklyarenko Antonina Vladimirovna, spoke at the opening of a scientific meeting of scientists and entrepreneurs of Ukraine.
