On May 20–22, 2025, Antonina Sklyarenko, President of the Ukrainian Pulse and Soybean Association (UPSA), took part in the GPC Pulses Conference — the industry’s largest global event, bringing together key players from more than 50 countries. This year, the conference was held in Singapore, attracting leading stakeholders of the global pulse market.
The program featured panel discussions, analytical sessions, presentations by industry leaders, and numerous networking opportunities for all segments of the pulse supply chain — from producers to importers.
A highlight of the event was the official vote to elect new members to the GPC Board of Directors. Antonina Sklyarenko received unanimous support — 100% of votes in favor — a clear indication of the high level of trust in her professional expertise and leadership in advancing the global pulse sector.
"Ukraine has every opportunity to become a strong supplier of high-quality pulses to the global market," noted Antonina Sklyarenko. "Our task as an association is to unlock this potential for producers and provide the necessary support through international cooperation."
The conference also included discussions on expanding exports to Asian markets and engaging international partners in future events to be held in Ukraine.
In Singapore, Antonina Skliarenko also held a meeting with representatives of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-products (CFNA), during which the parties once again discussed the export of Ukrainian peas to China and agreed on the next steps to advance this direction.
