On June 27, 2025, the village of Yemchycha in Kyiv Oblast played host to a major agricultural event: All‑Ukrainian Field Day. Formula of Profit, organized by the Ukraine Pulse and Soybean Association (UPSA) in partnership with the technology- and seed-focused agribusiness TVK Seed Agrocompany. The event brought together around 1,000 participants—farmers, machinery and agrochemical manufacturers, processors, traders, scientists, government representatives, and international partners.
The official program opened with welcoming remarks from the organizers, speeches by Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Vitalii Koval, the Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, as well as representatives of the oblast and district authorities.
Minister Vitalii Koval emphasized:
“It is a great honor for me to stand among those who go into the field every day. The agro-sector brings in 60 % of the country’s foreign-currency revenue. One in every five Ukrainians works in agriculture, and more than 14 million people live in rural areas and depend on successful farms. Ukrainian land can yield more—it needs breakthrough technologies. It is important that this event is also devoted to seeds, since seeds are a matter of national security.”
Following the speeches, the minister and other honored guests toured the field locations, where they explored modern technologies for growing soy, lentils, beans, mung beans, and wheat. Along the route, they spoke with farmers, company reps, and scientists, inquiring about farming practices, crop conditions, and yield potential.
Antonina Skliarenko, President of the Ukraine Pulse and Soybean Association (UPSA), noted:
“The development of pulse crops in Ukraine is our response to climate challenges and the need for food security. We already see positive trends—expanding acreage, growing interest in seed production, and increasing processing capacity.”
The host farm cultivates peas on 220 hectares, of which 120 hectares are green-podded and 100 hectares are yellow-seeded. Lyubov Topalova, representing TVK Seed Agrocompany, stated:
“For our farm, Field Day is a platform for dialogue and an opportunity to see proven practices. Today, our fields showcase the finest results of breeding work and cultivation technologies for cereals, oilseeds, and pulses.”
During the machinery demonstrations, companies such as Agro‑Solar, Agropostavka, Technotorg, Agroresurs, AMACO, B.T.A Group, and Agrox showcased the latest equipment for sowing, tillage, and spraying.
General partner Syngenta presented regionally adapted solutions. Alexii Stetsenko, Head of Sales at Syngenta, highlighted:
“Our innovation is rooted in a local approach: we tailor technologies to specific regional conditions. In Kyiv Oblast, we are testing new crop hybrids and protection technologies. This year we’re rolling out several biological products. We also offer digital solutions—such as the CropWise platform, the largest agriculture-monitoring platform developed in Ukraine for global use.”
BTU, a Ukrainian biopesticide producer and general partner, introduced new products and participated in a charity auction in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Maksym Holovatyuk, Head of BTU’s Central Region, added:
“First, I want to thank the AFU and our farmers, who hold their own front in extremely difficult times by growing crops. As a Ukrainian biotechnology company, we believe in the future of bioproducts, because the soil must remain alive. Biological solutions help preserve its fertility and ensure the sustainable development of agriculture.”
The field part of the event concluded amid rapeseed, corn, and pea plots, where participants could observe the impact of seeds, crop protection products, and fertilizers from companies including Syngenta, BTU, BASF, Alfa Smart Agro, Vitera, FMC, UTK Khimalyans, DSV, Wellagro, Agro Expert, Spraytec, Farmsaat, Agrochemical Technologies, Ecoorganic, Kormin, and UAPG.
Following the field tour, attendees enjoyed a convivial lunch, presentations from exclusive partners, and a prize draw.
The highlight of the day was the announcement of winners, who received one ton of seed beans from TVK Seed Agrocompany, tickets to a conference in Mersin (Turkey) organized by UPSA, and gift certificates for BTU bioproducts.
All‑Ukrainian Field Day 2025 once again demonstrated that Ukraine’s agricultural sector is a community capable of driving change, embracing innovation, and establishing high-tech agri‑production.
