Antonina Sklyarenko, President of the Ukrainian Pulses and Soybean Association, together with Vice President Alla Agbash, represented Ukraine at the international forum Globoil India 2025, held in Mumbai on September 24–26. This is one of the most influential events in the world of oilseed crops. Participation in the forum made it possible to directly present the Ukrainian soybean market and its processing products, as well as lay the groundwork for new contracts with leading players in the Indian market.
The export of soybean oil from Ukraine in the 2024/25 marketing year increased sharply thanks to India, which multiplied its purchases of Ukrainian products several times over. For Ukrainian producers, this is an opportunity not only to sell raw materials but also to expand processing, creating added value within the country. India is becoming our key strategic partner outside the EU, noted Antonina Sklyarenko.
The Ukraine Pulse and Soybean Association held a series of meetings, following which it is preparing to sign two memorandums of cooperation with leading Indian associations. The signing will take place in Mersin (Turkey) during the AgroFood Summit 2025, which will be held on November 19–21 and bring together about 500 delegates from more than 20 countries, including representatives from India.
These agreements will be an important step in strengthening Ukraine’s position in the Asian market for soybeans and soybean processing products.
