According to the results of January–July 2025, Turkey imported Ukrainian agricultural products totaling $1.48 billion. This figure was 16% higher than the volume of imports for the same period in 2024, APK-Inform reports, citing data from the International Trade Center.
At the same time, it should be noted that the export volume of agricultural products from Turkey to Ukraine is also increasing, but the volumes are less significant. Over the 7 months of 2025, goods worth a total of $296.4 million were exported to Ukraine, which is 15% more than during the same period of the previous year.
The main Ukrainian goods in the segment of agricultural products imported to Turkey were corn, soybeans, and sunflower oil. The combined share of these three products in the total volume of Ukrainian agricultural imports averaged 90% in January-July 2025, compared to 69% over the same period in 2024.
In monetary terms, imports of Ukrainian corn to Turkey over the 7 months of 2025 reached $760.6 million, which is 2.4 times more than in the same period of 2024 ($322.9 million). Imports of soybeans during the period increased 1.8 times (to $255.4 million compared to $141.9 million), while imports of sunflower oil decreased by 18% - to $319.0 million compared to $389.9 million, respectively.
Trends in the grain and oilseed markets, both global and in the Black Sea region, will be discussed at the international agro-conference AgroFood Summit 2025, which will take place in Mersin, Turkey, on November 19-21. The event will be held at the five-star Divan Mersin Hotel.
