On July 10, the Ambassador of China to Ukraine, Mr. Ma Shengkun, accompanied by the President of the Ukraine Pulse and Soybean Association (UPSA), Antonina Sklyarenko, and representatives of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, including Deputy Head and Chief State Phytosanitary Inspector of Ukraine Vadym Chaikovskyi, visited the TVK Seed Agrocompany farm in the village of Yemchykha, Kyiv region.
The visit took place within the framework of the official video inspection process of Ukrainian fields, which is ongoing following Ukraine’s approval to export peas to China. The Ukraine Pulse and Soybean Association (UPSA) is coordinating preparations for the inspections by selecting farms that demonstrate best practices in pea cultivation and high yield results.
During the inspection, the delegation became acquainted with the operations of TVK Seed Agrocompany — a modern, technologically advanced agricultural enterprise. Pea harvesting is already underway, with the expected yield reaching 4 tons per hectare, which is considered a very high indicator for this crop.
“This inspection is the result of UPSA’s systematic efforts to open the Chinese market for Ukrainian pulses. For us, it is important not only to secure market access but also to build a foundation of trust between Ukrainian producers and Chinese partners. We are grateful to the Ambassador of China to Ukraine, Ma Shengkun, for his attention to the sector and are confident that cooperation between Ukraine and China in this field holds great potential,” stated Antonina Sklyarenko, President of UPSA.
The Ukraine Pulse and Soybean Association continues to actively support the establishment of export channels, working in close cooperation with government authorities and international partners to strengthen Ukraine’s position in the global pulse market.
